The Sarah-Jane Adventures Series Four: The Nightmare Man Part One

Sarah-Jane's Back, in the darkest story ever...

We're back at Bannerman Road for the next six weeks, in six brand new two part stories, with the opening story, some what darker than ever before.
Reverse the Polarity after each episode will bring you a review of the new story each week, with an indepth analysis of the new adventures...

So, lets begin...

Goo. Yep, it's  the return of The Sarah-Jane Adventures...
"Today's Story in a Nutshell"
The story opens a year before the "big day," with a nice appearence of the Slitheen. The appearnce of the Slitheen made the story feel suitable for children, until five minutes later when the Nightmare's truely begin...
Luke's having nightmares, which is odd as he can't have them. But these aren't just the bad dream, the Nightmare Man (Julian Bleech,) is feeding of Luke's nigtmares to enter the real world to send the Earth into one great big Nightmare. There's a fair bit of emotion, as Luke's going to University. The heartfelt scenes with Luke, (Tommy Knight,) and Sarah-Jane, (Elizabeth Sladen,) are beautiful, which make the episode heartfelt for the older fans, I jerked a tear!
But Luke's fighting these nightmares, and he can't stop them...
END OF EPISODE!!!

The Review
This episode was VERY dark, too dark for children's TV. The plot however, was amazing. The magical world of Sarah-Jane was captured very quickly, with a dose of darkness. And the casting, was AMAZING. Julian's acting was just, spooky, he's good at that!

Tommy's Peformance was also mind blowingly amazing. He captured so much emotion in the episode. It's a shame to see him go, :'(.

OVERALL: An absolutley brilliant opening, but too dark for Children's TV.
9/10
